Photorejuvenation
Photorejuvenation, long pulse laser technology, or Long Pulse light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that erases skin damage without disruption of the skin’s surface, hence, no “downtime,” or very little recovery period.
Long Pulse light therapy can simultaneously treat a wide range of facial concerns safely and effectively, such as broken capillaries, skin discoloration, age spots, freckles, mottled pigmentation and the symptoms of rosacea. The technology is also very effective in treating the conditions below appearing on the chest, arms, and hands. During treatments light energy is sent through the outer skin—the epidermis—and energy is concentrated in the dermis, the deeper part of the skin. Because the light generates heat it stimulates cells in the skin to form collagen, as much as 20% more. The same treatment is capable of targeting facial veins and brown spots. Because it plumps the skin it’s like giving yourself a collagen injection but using your own collagen.

Other conditions that may be treated with photorejuvenation include:
Redness of the neck
• Blotchy skin colour, freckles, dark spots
• Pigmented brown spots
• Sun spots
• Broken capillaries
• Sun damage
• Collagen structure
• Fine to moderate lines and wrinkles
• Remove facial veins, correct Rosacea
• Decrease pore size
• Facial/age spots

Photorejuvenation is the only procedure that can treat vascular redness, pigmented brown spots, sun damage and collagen structure all at once. Depending on the number of conditions you are treating, and the severity of the individual problem, a series of five or six treatment sessions may be recommended. You can return to work the same day and resume all your regular activities. By dividing the full program into several treatments, the procedure provides gradual improvement with very low risk—and, it preserves the wonderful ”no downtime” feature that people appreciate so much.

Photorejuvenation takes around 40 minutes for the face. Afterwards there is a flush, not really redness. It goes away in an hour or two. You can apply make-up right away and can go back to work. Most people do not require anaesthesia but if required we suggest coming in 30 minutes before the treatment and Dr. Malihan can apply a topical anaesthetic cream.

Dr. Malihan will examine your skin and determine a course which is customized for your own personal needs the same day as your treatment. A Cold Gel is usually applied to the area to be treated, and you may be given dark glasses to protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the Laser handpiece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied. You may feel a slight sting, like the snapping of a small rubber band. An anesthetic cream may be used, but is seldom required. Treatment is generally administered in a series of procedures that provide excellent long-term results, minimal adverse effects and high satisfaction. Most treatments take about twenty minutes.

Crystal Microdermabrasion
Crystal Microdermabrasion is a virtually painless procedure which allows effective treatment of acne, stretch marks, scarring, broken capillaries, wrinkles and fine lines. The procedure is performed with a jet of fine crystals which is vaccuumed across the skin's surface, removing dead and damaged cells.

Botox Injection
A procedure using Botulinum Toxin or Botox, has been developed to treat the aging face by removing wrinkles. This procedure, sometimes referred to as cosmetic denervation, has been widely used and is considered a safe, effective way of treating aging skin. It is used to eliminate or reduce worry and frown lines,"crow's feet", laugh lines, and other wrinkles sometimes called dynamic wrinkles. The procedure works by physiologically weakening facial muscles beneath the skin that are related to expression lines. The contractions of those muscles result in wrinkles. Botox works by blocking the impulses from the nerve to the facial muscles thereby relaxing them. The result is that the pull of the underlying facial muscles relax, causing the skin to flatten. This results in a smooth, unwrinkled look.

Glycolic Acid Peels
Glycolic Acid is the most versatile and easily absorbed of the Alphahydroxy Acids. Derived from sugar cane, it was developed through scientific research and found to be extremely effective in the treatment of Dermatological conditions including, Acne, fine wrinkles, and changes in skin pigmentation. Pharmaceutical grade glycolic acid may only be obtained at a cosmetic surgeons or skin care specialists office. The Procedure A peel takes approximately half an hour. First, the skin is meticulously detoxified and purified with a professional cleaning solution. The peel is then applied. After 3 to 6 minutes your skin is rinsed with cool water. It's that simple! Glycolic acid peels may be for you if: You are interested in preventing signs of aging and wrinkles-- you want to reduce existing fine lines and wrinkles-- you have discolorations, age spots, dull or unhealthy looking skin-- you have acne, skin lesions, or other skin conditions--you have weathered or sun damaged skin.

Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation is an increasingly popular, relatively simple surgical procedure for teenagers, men and women of all ages who want to add a bit of oomph to their lips. Lip augmentation - also called lip enhancement or lip enlargement - is usually an outpatient surgical procedure to fill in, puff up and generally enhance your own lips. More than 30,000 people have opted to slightly change the appearance of their lips with at least one of the nearly 10 techniques plastic surgeons use for lip augmentation, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Body fat from one area on your body can be extracted - usually the groin - and injected into your lips. Or, a synthetic material, such as Gortex - yes, the stuff that keeps you dry in the pouring rain - could be used to give your lips the "pout" you desire. Will your new look last forever? Some methods are temporary; if you like your new look, you will have to return to the clinic to have the technique repeated. Temporary solutions appeal to many people who just want to experiment with puffier lips. Yet for others who are certain the new appearance of their lips is for them, more permanent techniques - such as local flaps - would be used. Discuss with Dr. Malihan the advantages and disadvantages of each technique. Your lips already are a prominent feature on your face; you want to be happy with your new, fuller lips.

CO2 Resurfacing
Automobile accidents, dog bites, and other injuries can cause obvious scars. These scars can often be improved by revision surgery using plastic surgical techniques. Realigning the scar along natural lines, narrowing the scar, or flattening it are some of the methods utilized in scar improvement. In addition, methods of dermabrasion, sanding, and resurfacing (using a CO2 laser) may also be used. Sometimes no specific surgical treatment is advised for a scar. This is especially true when the injury has been recent and not enough time has been allowed to achieve the optimal final appearance.
